CELEBRATING 29 YEARS
(1979--2008)
BAKER'S Bed and Breakfast

About the B&B...

SINCE 1979

Year around hosts, Doug Baker and Linda Delgado Baker, welcome guests to their restored 1780 stone farmhouse located on 14 acres in the beautiful mid-Hudson region of New York State. Our views are of Shawangunk Mountains and rolling hills and fields. The house is furnished with period antiques, hand made quilts and much more.

Over the past 25 years, Baker's has been reviewed, used for photo shoots and/or our recipes have been published in The New York Times, USA Today, The Kingston Freeman, Huguenot Herald, Poughkeepsie Journal, About Town, The Chronogram, Glamour, Women's Day, Detail Magazine, Yankee Magazine, Conde Naste Traveler and TV's Good Morning America.

We serve a full breakfast which included fresh fruit, jams, jellies, freshly baked goods such as scones, croissants, muffins and special dishes such as Linda's goat cheese omelets and her home made granola. Doug's smoked meats and/or salmon and the all-time favorite, "Dutch babies".

Each morning we blend and grind our own coffee - a mix of Mocha Java and French Roast.   There is no need to find lunch after a breakfast at Baker's!

A recent visitor, Sara Moulton from the Food Network and Executive Chef for Gourmet Magazine, wrote in our guest book "LOVELY PLACE, INCREDIBLE BREAKFAST!!". (Yes, she used capital letters....)

There is plenty to do in the area. Antiquing, the Wine Trail, the Pottery Trail and the Rail Trail for hiking and walking are prime activities. There is excellent dining at the four-star Depuy Canal House and its new bistro Chefs-on-Fire, The Inn at Stone Ridge, The Northern Spy and the Egg's Nest in High Falls. A trip to Woodstock means The Bear Café. There's the Rosendale Cement Co for great food and a fun place to hang! Don't miss the Kingston waterfront and Le Canard,  and jazz and great food at Ship to Shore. Steak and lobster wait at The Hillside Manor. A Stone Ridge favorite is the French Corner and in Accord, 2 miles away, you'll enjoy the great food and hospitality of Friends and Family at Hillside on Route 209.

You'll find more information in your guest room including a brochure for the wonderful  One Body Spa. However, you may decide to just spend the afternoon birdwatching in the hammock for two under an old maple tree or reading by the fireplace. This is a smoke free home and we do not allow pets.

NEW FEATURES

By popular demand, you can order Linda's Nutty Granola at Nuttygranola@aol.com and please call about catering garden events.

We look forward to seeing you at Baker's!!
